About Our School

Connecting learning to community, the natural world, and authentic experience.

Our Story

We were created to offer a different kind of education — one that connects learning to real life, the community, and the natural world. We proudly serve the Mapleton, Springville, and Spanish Fork area through the principles of place-based learning.

Place-based learning that connects academics to the local community and environment.
Strong academics in literacy, math, and STEM with real-world application.
Community partnerships and collaboration.
Whole-child development — social, emotional, and academic growth.
Critical thinking and preparation for meaningful citizenship.
Daily outdoor experiences on campus, in the community, and in nature.

Education Model

Place-based education is research-backed, with evidence of improved student engagement, academic performance, and social-emotional development. Students gain a deeper understanding by connecting their learning to authentic, real-world experiences.

Academic achievement through applied learning
Increased motivation via real-world connections
Enhanced problem-solving and decision-making
Strengthened confidence and resilience
